SRINAGAR : Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Government of Haryana, Anil Malik, today held an interaction session with JKAS probationers here at Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD), Srinagar.

JKAS Probationary Officers of Batch 2020 are presently undergoing seven and a half month Phase-I training course at IMPARD Srinagar.

Pertinently, Anil Malik, who is a 1991 Haryana Cadre IAS officer, was here at Srinagar in connection with digitization conference held at SKICC by IT department, government of Jammu and Kashmir.

Director General, J&K IMPARD, Saurabh Bhagat, organized a special interaction session between Anil Malik and JKAS officer trainees.

Addressing the trainees, Malik impressed upon them to work hard towards achieving required efficiencies and capacities to perform their tasks in bureaucracy in an enhanced manner. He told them that as members of the UT’s bureaucracy their foremost task is to learn to present themselves to the public as their servants. This objective could be achieved by learning proper communication skills only, he added.

He emphasized upon them to be impartial and responsive towards all while serving in their respective assigned departments irrespective of any caste, creed, religion or region considerations. He further added that “A bureaucrat’s job was to serve common people rather than judge them by their background. They must implement the Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) in letter and spirit. For carrying out their duties they would need to work for long hours. So, it was necessary that they also learn sports and eat nutritious food to remain healthy and fit for work throughout their service careers”.

Director General, IMPARD presented vote of thanks on the occasion.
