Adani Wilmar Limited Supports Mid-Day Meal Efforts with New Food Distribution Vehicles  in Partnership with The Akshaya Patra Foundation

Ahmedabad – In a significant boost to the mid-day meal program in Ahmedabad, Adani Wilmar has generously contributed three new food distribution vehicles to The Akshaya Patra Foundation. These vehicles will serve over 6,600 meals daily to 48 schools across the city, reinforcing the joint commitment to nurturing the health and education of children.

The flag-off event for the new vehicles took place in Ahmedabad, attended by Mr. Angshu Mallick, MD & CEO, Saumin Sheth – Chief Operating Officer, Ashok Kumar – Business Head – Food Service Division, Priya Agarwal – Manager, Mandar Chitre – Assistant Manager from Adani Wilmar Ltd. and Sri Raya Rama Dasa, Vice President of The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Gujarat.

In addition to the vehicles, Adani Wilmar has pledged continued support for the mid-day meal initiative, aiming to reach a 1734 number of beneficiaries across 9 schools throughout Ahmedabad. This collaboration underscores a shared vision between Adani Wilmar and The Akshaya Patra Foundation to combat hunger and promote education among school-aged children.
