ADC Reasi chairs public hearing for mining clearances

Reasi: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajinder Kumar Sharma convened a public hearing for environmental clearance of minor mineral (RBM) mining blocks cluster at Ans river bed in village Sungri of tehsil Chassana, here today.

In the meeting organised today by the J&K Pollution Control Board, clearances were discussed with respect to mining blocks number 18, 19 and 20 spanning over an area of 7.26 hectares, 5.43 hectares and 5.76 hectares respectively.

The ADC assured that genuine concerns of the locals for reasonable rates of minor minerals; mining rights to Panchayats and other issues raised during public hearing would be appropriately addressed.

SDM Mahore Faz ul Hasseb, Environmental Consultant from P&M Solution, Hussain Zia-ud-Din, DDC Members Chassana-A; Sarpanches, Panches, Ex-Sarpanches and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
