ADDC Kishtwar flags off Freedom Run Rally 2.0

KISHTWAR : Nehru Yuva Kendra today organised Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 here as a part of ongoing Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations.

Over 75 NYK volunteers, NCC cadets, Students, government officials and PRI functionaries participated in the rally.

The programme commenced with the National Anthem followed by a pledge ceremony.

The rally was flagged off by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Sham Lal here from New DC Office.

The colourful rally was taken amid patriotic slogans by duly following Covid safety protocols.

The rally after passing through Zellna, Wasser and Kuleed culminated at Char Chinar Chowgan Kishtwar.

The programme was attended by Principal GDC, Anirudh Sharma; District Youth Officer Khushal Gupta; TOT Jugnu Bhagat; NCC Instructor Dr. Madhu Bala; Panch Surekha Sen; NYK Volunteers Veena Kumari; Rehana Banoo, Leela Devi, NCC Volunteers, members of Northern Acro Yogies Kishtwar besides youth and students among others.

The DYO interacted with the participants and underlined the importance of physical activities for healthy life. He also encouraged the youth volunteers to participate in nation building activities.

Principal GDC Kishtwar, TOT Jugnu Bhagat, Panch Surekha Sen and NCC Instructor also spoke on the occasion and emphasised on the need to encourage civil society to become part of fit India movement.
