ADDC Kishtwar kick-starts blacktopping work on Shalimar-Trigam road

Kishtwar: To ensure the smooth movement of vehicles, Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Mohammad Hanief Malik today kick started the black topping on the Shalimar-Trigam road on 4 km stretch of 12 km PMGSY road.
Block Development Council Chairman, Sri Chand, Block Development Officer, Trigam Misbah, AEE PMGSY Abid Hussain Mintoo, AE PMGSY Mohsin Rashid besides locals and PRI members among others were present on the occasion.
It was informed that the work on the road was taken up by PMGSY division Kishtwar at an estimated cost of Rs 6.14 crore in Nov 2018 and is to projected to be completed in all respects by December 2020.
The ADDC stressed on maintaining quality of work and timeline completion of the road project with due observance of SOPs and protocol of COVID19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the ADDC participated in Jan Abhiyan programme at Pallan Panhayat Trigam B. He apprised the PRIs and the general public about the programmes being organised from September 10 to September.30. He also called upon the locals to participate in block devas for projecting their demands and grievances.
The BDO concerned was directed to organise similar awareness camps in other Panchayats so that maximum public may participate in the block devas.
