ADDC Poonch reviews Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav activities: Convenes training session for officers regarding uploading of activities on designated portal

 

POONCH : Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Malikzada Sheraz Ul Haq today convened a meeting to review activities conducted under year long celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM). A training session for officers regarding uploading of activities on AKAM portal was also held in the conference hall of DC Office.

The meeting began with a two-minute silence observed in memory of AD Fisheries, Poonch Late Bashir Ahmed Chowhan, who died today.

During the training session, the officers were given daily targets to upload their departmental events on the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Portal, which is an initiative launched by the Government of India to celebrate the 75 years of Indian Independence. The portal aims to showcase the achievements of the country in various fields and to encourage citizens’ participation in the celebrations.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain Shah, Chief Horticulture Officer, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, District Informatic Officer (NIC) Narinder Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer, Rakesh Sharma, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Ashish Mahajan, and all other concerned officers.

The officers were urged to actively participate in the AKAM celebrations and to contribute to the portal regularly in the form of audio visual content as per set targets so that achievements and activities of district were showcased at National level.

Pertinently, All the departments are engaged in organising various activities under AKAM from the last year which includes awareness programmes for farmers, budding youth entrepreneurs, students among others.
