ADDC Udhampur reviews working of Rural Development Department

Udhampur: To review the status of estimation of various works approved under District Capex 2021-22 BDC, DDC and PRIs grants and other ongoing schemes of RDD sector in the District, Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Kanta Devi chaired a meeting of Rural Development Department officers .

She also reviewed the progress of other RDD schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), 14th FC and RGSA etc and assessed the status of convergence plan to be taken up with the line departments.

During the meeting, Executive Engineer REW apprised that against the total of 2323 number of works under District Capex Budget, the estimates of 740 have been checked technically so far. He informed that the estimation of all the approved works shall be completed by the mid of July 2021.

Directions were issued to RDD to work with dedication and in a transparent manner to complete the works within the stipulated time frame ensuring desired quality and progress of the works in rural areas. The ADDC exhorted upon the officers to maintain transparency and accountability in the execution of all the works.

Among others, Assistant Commissioner Development Udhampur, Mushtaq Chowdhary, Executive Engineer, REW besides Assistant Engineers were also present in the meeting.
