New Delhi: Arne Duncan has rightly said, “Wherever you find something extraordinary, you’ll find the fingerprints of a great teacher.” Teachers play a vital part in our lives and educate the society while imparting their knowledge upon impressionable years. What we learn from them at a very young age will most likely stay with us, for the rest of our lives.
This Teacher’s Day, Aditya Birla Education Academy, part of The Aditya Birla Education Trust launched a campaign encouraging teachers to #EngageEvolveEndeavour. This campaign aims to understand the other side of the story – Why did teachers choose this job? What inspired them into becoming teachers and role models to so many students. Aditya Birla Education Academy captured the responses of a few teachers on what reactions they got when they first said they are becoming teachers and then why did they choose this job.
Mrs. Neerja Birla, Founder and Chairperson, The Aditya Birla Education Academy, said, “It’s inspiring to know the reasons behind why teachers have chosen this profession. Today, I would like to thank all the teachers for choosing to impart knowledge and nurture young talent to achieve great heights. I have always believed that teachers are blessed souls entrusted with the most critical and noble responsibility of shaping the minds and the imaginations of future generations. At ABEA we see many teachers excited and keen to keep themselves updated and evolve with the changing times. We express gratitude and respect teachers for wanting to stay abreast with the constantly evolving environment, to stay relevant for their students. Wishing all teachers, a Happy Teacher’s Day; Let’s promise to #EngageEvolveEndeavour”
Let’s salute the heroes of our success – our teachers who have always been there for us, taught us much more than the syllabus and showed us the way of life. Let’s pledge to break the stereotype around the teaching profession and recognize the impact they’ve had on our lives.
The Aditya Birla Education Academy aims to engage educators in the new-age global processes of education and empower them to evolve into the best knowledge-givers they can be, as they nurture young minds and contribute towards shaping the future.
