Aditya Birla Education Academy partners with The Renzulli Center for Creativity, Gifted Education, & Talent Development, University of Connecticut, US

Mumbai : Aditya Birla Education Academy (ABEA), India’s leading professional development institute for teachers has partnered with the Renzulli Center for Creativity, Gifted Education, and Talent Development, University of Connecticut, US. The purpose of the collaboration is to introduce a six-week-long Schoolwide Enrichment Program for teachers. Both the prominent institutes aim at providing teachers with opportunities to learn and grow through the Schoolwide Enrichment Program.

 

The Schoolwide Enrichment Program delivers enhanced learning experiences and superior learning standards for all children through a three-pronged strategy:

Develop talents in all children,
Deliver a comprehensive range of modern and well-developed enrichment experiences for them and,
Deliver futuristic follow-up opportunities for youth based on their interests and strengths.

Dr. Joseph Renzulli and Dr. Sally Reis, Founders of the Renzulli Center have enjoyed their interactions with the outstanding educators involved from both India and the middle east. The Schoolwide Enrichment Specialist from the Renzulli Center at the University of Connecticut, Nicole Waicunas, arranged all workshops and is continuing to work with the leaders at ABEA as they implement enrichment opportunities for students across the globe.

 

One of the teachers who opted for the program, Ms. Meenakshi Singal, shared her experience and said that she found the facilitator’s knowledge, enthusiasm highly motivating. She also mentioned that the readings have been extremely beneficial to her. Similarly, another teacher, Ms. Niral Gada, stated that the course offers a well-structured plan, and the sessions were quite vibrant, keeping one emotionally engaged and intellectually stimulated. She also highly recommends this course for all the educators looking to upskill as there is a lot to learn and reflect upon.

 

Ms. Sandhya Bajpai, an educator stated that the course was quite fascinating and informative. She is looking forward to another set of enrichment programs by Aditya Birla Education Academy. A teacher from Dubai, Ms. Fanny Thomas, said that the training has been quite beneficial, insightful and the program offers teachers with new and more effective teaching methods and assessment methods.
