Aditya Birla Education Trust spreads the message of gender equality on International Women’s Day (IWD)

Mumbai: Aditya Birla Education Trust today celebrated International Women’s Day campaign #EachForEqual i.e. a person using his/her hands to make an “‘=’ sign to show that he/she stands in solidarity with women who are fighting for gender equality.

All faculty and staff members of ABET came together to be part of this campaign and to spread the message of gender equality which is essential for economies and communities to thrive. The employees from Aditya World Academy (ABWA), Aditya Birla Education Academy (ABEA) and The Aditya Birla Integrated School (TABIS) were dressed up in purple as it is the colour used to symbolize Women Empowerment.

Aditya Birla Education Trust is spearheaded by Founder and Chairperson Mrs. Neerja Birla, a strong advocate for women empowerment and gender equality. Supporting the global campaign, Mrs Birla said, “Today I stand with billions as we pledge to challenge gender stereotypes with a pioneering spirit, to fight gender bias with information and to maintain gender equal mind-sets even as we take on patriarchy with love & action! We are #EachforEqual this #IWD2020!”
