Advisor Khan reviews working and performance of Wakf Board

 

Srinagar: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan today reviewed the working of Wakf Board in J&K and its performance during prevailing covid crisis.

Advisor Khan asked about the protection and proper utilisation of the Wakf property. He asked that all the assets should pe properly marked and put to good use for the generation of revenue for the Board.

He enquired about the digitization and geo tagging of Wakf properties for which he was informed that the Wakf properties in the valley stand digitised and geo tagged simultaneously. He urged the Wakf officers to collect the revenue of Wakf and utilize it efficiently.

The Advisor was further informed that the purchase of oxygen concentrators for the use of general public is also in offing. He was apprised that the Board has already pledged an amount for the same,however the genuine suppliers are being identified and accordingly supply orders shall be placed shortly and the gadgets procured so would be dedicated for general public use.

The Advisor applauded the efforts of the Board in mitigation of Covid crisis and asked them to continue their efforts towards bringing relief to general public at this hour of dire need and distress.

The Advisor was assured that the Board will make all such efforts up to the best of their capacity to reach to the poor and needy who deserve their help and alleviate their sufferings by utilizing their resources better.
