Aerobic Training Workshop begins at AMU
ALIGARH : The Department of Physical Education, Aligarh Muslim University has launched an ambitious 12-week “Aerobic Training Workshop” from October 5 to December 28, 2023, to combat obesity and equip the participants with effective strategies for managing obesity and leading a healthy life.
The Director of the programme and Chairman of the department, Prof. Tariq Murtaza said that the workshop has garnered tremendous interest from common people and everyday a large number of interested people are registering for it.
He said that the comprehensive training sessions cover a range of activities for the holistic wellness of the participants and they are engaged in an intensive aerobic training programme, along with specialized therapies, including Sauna Bath and Steam Bath. In addition, they benefit from rejuvenating amenities like showers and a Jacuzzi, all designed to enhance physical and mental well-being.
“The workshop not only promotes physical fitness but also emphasizes the significance of adopting a sustainable and balanced lifestyle”, he added.
The Organizing Secretary, Dr. Mohd Arshad Bari stated that through this workshop, we aim to empower participants with the knowledge and skills they need to lead a healthy and active life.
He said that the Department of Physical Education continues to be at the forefront of promoting fitness and well-being within the community, fostering a culture of holistic health.
