Agricultural Science Center Korea awarded as the best agricultural science center in the country
Raipur: Chhattisgarh has once again hoisted its flag at national level in the field of agricultural development. Chhattisgarh State Agricultural Science Centre Korea has been awarded by Government of India as the country’s best Agricultural science centre. Agricultural Science Centre Korea has been awarded the Chhattisgarh Government’s ambitious scheme for effective implementation of Narwa, Garuva, Ghurwa and Bari and entrepreneurship development in farmers. On the occasion of 93th Foundation Day of Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Union Minister of Agriculture Shri Narendra Singh Tomar at the Felicitation Ceremony held at Krishi Bhawan New Delhi today, at the Agriculture Science Centre Korea, the best agriculture among the 722 Agricultural Science Centers across the country. Awarded Agricultural Science National Incentive Award-2020 as Science Center. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Shri Ravindra Chaubey congratulates and best wishes on this glorious achievement of Agricultural Science Center Korea. The Agriculture Minister said that the team of Agricultural Science Center Korea has inspired the farmers of Korea district towards profitable and advanced farming with their tireless hard work and innovation.

Agricultural Science Centre Korea honors Chhattisgarh Government’s ambitious scheme for effective implementation of Narwa, Garuva, Ghurwa and Badi, organizing farmers and establishment of Farmer Producer Organization (Korea Agro Producer Co. Ltd) in 55 acres in Gauthan villages in the district The pasture development program, successful demonstration of fennel farming in innovative agriculture, gardening and related activities, sindoor herbal powder, lemongrass chaipatti, sweet potato flour, turmeric, nilgiri and fennel leaves and branches and fennel cultivation in Gauthan villages, promoting honey production By forming a group of tribal farmers to give, beekeeping and culster exhibition of advanced species of bridal and tilhan crops, processing and marketing of various crops etc. has been provided for successful implementation of innovative works to increase the income of farmers in Chhattisgarh.
Notable that in collaboration with District Administration-Korea, Agricultural Science Centre Korea established an exhibition area of advanced varieties of fodder crops under the pasture development program in Gauthan villages in 55 acres-Napier, multi-year tide. Advanced species of turmeric on 35 acres to promote cash crops in Gauthan villages eg-Roma, B. S. R-2 & Rashmi display area installed. Farmer s’ collective crops by selecting drip method to prepare fruitful motherland in 75 acres, under crop diversification in collective canals as arthritian farming under 40-50 acres of land development under lemongrass, khas, pamaroza, citronella and sweet potato By planting etc, the crop intensity of the land was estimated to 300 percent. Technical demonstration of advanced species of vegetable co-fruit plantation was implemented in 200 hills in the Badi Development Program by the Center. Ketchua fertilizer, vermivash and kechua were sold by the Tribal Farmers Group from Agricultural Science Center Korea and MNREGA to promote ghurwa management. Scientists are continuously providing quality ketchua and fertilizer production, training and technical guidance to the women group in Gauthan villages.
Agricultural Science Center Korea has created a company called Farmer Producer Organization ′′ Korea Agroproducer which is manufacturing, processing and marketing 22 agricultural based products. This company with 573 farmer members has done a business of 42 lakh rupees this year. 72 percent of the members of this farmer producer organization are tribal farmers. Under the technical guidance of Agricultural Science Centre Korea, District Administration Korea’s financial cooperation of Agriculture Science Center, Korea, for processing and value products for milk processing, steam plant, pulse mill, rice mill, edible oil mill, Sagandh Agarbatti manufacturing machine Establishment tax 20-25 products are being prepared on standard basis to Khadi India, Trifed India, Hand Craft Development Board, Khadi Gram Industry etc. for marketing. Training is also being given in the manufacturing and marketing of handmade Sagandh Soap and Sagandh Agarbatti by the Center for the development of the livelihood of women groups. Agricultural Science Center is giving continuous business training to the farmers of the district under the Prime Minister Skill Development Scheme and Chief Minister Skill Development Yojana. Innovative agriculture, gardening and related activities, sindoor herbal powder, lemongrass tea, sweet potato flour, turmeric, eucalyptus and fennel leaves and branches, fennel cultivation is being demonstrated in Gauthan villages.
