Agriculture bill ushers in new era of empowerment of farmers: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the agricultural bill passed in the Parliament is historical in terms of empowerment of farmers. This bill is the beginning of a new era. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has thanked Prime Minister Shri Modi for this farmer friendly bill. Along with this, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has condemned those opposing the bill for spreading unnecessary confusion.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the agricultural bill which was first passed in the Lok Sabha and today in the Rajya Sabha is very important with regard to increasing the income of farmers, providing better value for production, and for providing an option of additional income to the farmers. The farmers of Madhya Pradesh are also supporting the bill because the Krishi Upaj Mandi will still continue to exist even after this. Business will continue. If the farmer wishes to sell his crop outside the Mandi, he should not be stopped. If the farmer is getting the facility to sell in a warehouse or private Mandi also and is getting better price, no one should have any objection to it. If a food processor wishes to buy the produce directly from the farmer, then why do middlemen get concerned about their profit. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that if the exporter also exports after purchasing the produce directly from the farmer, then why it becomes a problem for anyone, is beyond comprehension.

Some people are trying to spread confusion regarding the Agriculture Bill. Prime Minister Shri Modi has constantly been taking decisions in the interest of farmers. A campaign to double the income of the farmer is also in progress. The Government of Madhya Pradesh, along with the central government, is also committed to provide maximum welfare to the farmers.
