Ahobilam Dance & Music Festival 2018 enthralled around 20,000 audience

Kurnool: The Two day musical and dance extravaganza, Ahobilam Music & Dance Festival 2018, hosted by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department along with Andhra Pradesh Creativity and Culture Commission under the Government of Andhra Pradesh at Ahobilam, Kurnool district concluded today with scintillating performances from renowned musicians.

With a pledge to preserve and take forward the rich musical & dance legacy of Cultural Heritage, the Ahobilam Dance & Music Festival 2018 enthralled around 20,000 audience with rich performance rendered by legends.

The Valedictory day started with Violin performance by musical legend, Grand Violin Duet, Ahobila Mutt Asthana Vidwan, Padma Bhushan Awardee, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Prof. T.N. Krishnan and Smt. Viji Krishnan, who performed some of the divine music with his bow. His dominating role enhanced the level of the concert.

The evening charmed with the World-renowned Master percussionist and Grammy-winning Ghatam maestro, Padma Bhushan Awardee, Viswanathan Vikku Vinayakram, who gave a sensational heart touching music that thrilled the audience with applause hitting the sky.

It was Padma Shri Awardee, Sobhana, the Bharatanatyam danseuse and superstar of the south executed her best dance movements with exciting blend of traditional grammar of Bharatanatyam with most modern dance choreography.

Anxiety filled the audience as they awaited for its final concert of the season from India’s most promising Carnatic singer, Padma Shri, Hariharan. His effortless vocal command made the stage live and gave an unforgettable experience to huge audience. The confident and impressive vocal concert by versatile singer, Hariharan filled the air with immense shruthi and swaras.

Memorable citations were presented to each artist who thrilled the huge audience at Ahobilam.

It was a fruitful moment as the festival gathered some of the leading legendary artistes and transforming the festival site into an entertainment centre with their superlative performance.
