AIC-JK Lakshmipat University and Wadhwani Foundation Conduct Successful Entrepreneurship Boot-camp at KR Mangalam University
Gurgaon : AIC-JK Lakshmipat University in collaboration with Wadhwani Foundation conducted a day-long Entrepreneurship Boot-camp at KR Mangalam University, Gurgaon. The boot camp was aimed at encouraging students to explore and engender disruptive creation.
The boot camp was attended by 60 participants who were assisted in mapping the problem and generating an idea to intervene. The process was steered by Mr. Chandar Kar, who is Heading Product Deployment at Wadhwani Foundation. Mr. Chandar spoke about the entrepreneurship sphere and sensitized the participants about the startup culture. He also discussed how the entrepreneurship mindset and skill work to disrupt ideas and build a venture.
During the boot camp, the participants also engaged in a group activity to understand how an individual can develop multiple ideas in a day that can be converted into a profitable business. The participants were divided into 12 teams, and each team was instructed to invest 100 rs to earn profit within the campus through any idea. The teams came up with creative ideas such as selling watermelon juice, completing assignments, creating graphic art, selling pens, providing stock market consultancy, etc. The activity lasted for four hours, and the team that generated the highest profit earned Rs. 3650. The total revenue generated by all the teams in that 4 hours was Rs. 6,200.
The boot camp successfully catalyzed an entrepreneurial mindset among the students, and they were encouraged to start their own ventures. Each team shared their overwhelming experience of learning and disseminating knowledge. The activity heightened the participants by inclining their conviction toward entrepreneurship to start their own venture. The overall boot camp has successfully inspired the students to grab an opportunity from identical problems.
The boot camp was a huge success, and we would like to extend our gratitude to Wadhwani Foundation and the faculty coordinators of KR Manglam University for successfully organizing such an informative and engaging event. It is essential to promote the culture of entrepreneurship among the youth, and such initiatives are a step in the right direction. We look forward to more such events in the future.
