AIMA loses a friend in Pranab Mukherjee
New Delhi: “The country has lost a statesman and AIMA has lost a friend,” says Mr Sanjay Kirloskar, President, All India Management Association (AIMA) paying tribute to the former President of India, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, who died today.
“Mr Mukherjee had a pivotal influence on Indian politics and economy, and for the better part of five decades, he remained a key figure in shaping power and policies in New Delhi,” Mr Kirloskar says.
The former President of India had graced AIMA platform on many occasions since 1980. He first addressed AIMA’s Annual General Meeting in 1980 and his last engagement with AIMA was in 2019 when he presented the AIMA Managing Awards.
In 2017, then President of India, Mr Mukherjee hosted AIMA’s Diamond Jubilee function at Rashtrapati Bhawan. He also inaugurated AIMA’s new premises.
AIMA would always cherish the moments he spent with AIMA and everything that he did to support and encourage the management movement in the country.
