Air India partners Boeing to hold entrance examination at TIAT (West Zone)

Mumbai: Mumbai-based Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology (TIAT) announced that AI partnering Boeing is conducting entrance examination for the one-year Accelerated AME Apprenticeship program to be started at Air India’s Mumbai facility from August 18.

The Program, launched by Boeing and Air India Engineering Services Ltd. (AIESL), will focus on providing hands-on-experience on selective CAR 66 modules and Boeing aircraft. Selected candidates will get an immersive learning experience in smart classroom environment using advanced training aids.

On the completion of the program students will be provided with placement assistance to help them crack the interviews through mock interviews and soft skills, including interaction and coordination with potential employers.

Candidates are eligible to apply for the Program who are either on last semester/OJT of the three-year AME course or have recently passed from DGCA approved AME colleges. Eligible students will have to appear for an entrance examination that will be conducted all across India.

Our own students, totalling around 25, too will be writing the exam” said Subhajit Maity, Chief Instructor of TIAT.

Shortlisted candidates will be exempted from paying any fees for the Program which is available only for the first batch i.e. class of 2018.
