Akhil Bhartiya Shastrarth Sabha organized under the Chairmanship of the Governor Lalji Tandon

Bhopal : Akhil Bhartiya Shastrarth Sabha is being organized under the Chairmanship of the Governor Shri Lalji Tandon at the auditorium of Raj Bhavan on January 13. Scholars of various states will hold discussions on Vyakaran Shastra, Sahitya Shastra, Nyay Shastra and Jyotish Shastra in the sabha. Invitations can be obtained after the registration on the website of the Raj Bhavan.

The Secretary to Governor Shri Manohar Dubey has informed that the Akhil Bhartiya Shastrarth Sabha is being organized at the Raj Bhavan by the Maharishi Panini Sanskrit evam Vedic Vishwavidyalaya-Ujjain with an objective to revive the Shastrarth traditions of Ujjain and orientation. Under the Vyakaran Shastra, discussion will take place on the subject Shabdniyatatta, which will be presided by the Former Principal of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan-Bhopal Prof.Azad Mishra. Prof. Ram Salahi Diwedi of Delhi, Dr. Brijbhushan Ojha of Varanasi, Dr. Akhilesh Diwedi and Dr. Sankalp Mishra of Ujjain will take part in the deliberations.

In the Sahitya Shastra session, discussion will be held on Mammatabhimat Kavya Lakshan subject. The Vice Chancellor of Vikram Vishwavidyalaya Prof. Balkrishna Sharma will chair this session. Prof. Virupaksh Jaddipal of Tirupati, Dr. Pankaj Rawal of Somnath-Gujarat, Prof. Manmohan Upadhyaya, Dr. Tulsidas Parouha and Dr. Pooja Upadhayaya of Ujjain will participate.

In Nyay Shastra, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajaram Shukl of Sampoornanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya-Varanasi will chair the discussion on the subject Parmanu Vaad. In this discussion, Shri J.Suryanarayan of Hyderabad-Telangana, Shri J.Niwas of Tiurpati-Andhra Pradesh along with and Dr. Sandeep Sharma of Ujjain will take part.

In Jyotish Shastra, discussion will be held on Kaal Tatva Vimarsh subject. Acharya Prof. Hansdhar Jha of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan-Bhopal will preside the discussion. Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma of Jwala Devi Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Nigam Pandey of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Krsihna Kumar Bhargava of Tirupati-Andhra Pradesh and Dr. Upendra Bhargava as well as Shubham Sharma of Ujjain will participate.

The Secretary to Governor Shri Manohar Dubey informed that India has special teaching and study method since ancient times. Shastra Sabhas were used to organized by the Scholars and Gurus on various subjects. Several places of India are world famous for Shastarth. This includes mainly Mithila, Kashi, Ujjaini and Kanchi. Shastarths between Maharishi Yagyavalkya and his wife Maitriyi Gargi, Ashtavark, Jagatguru Shankracharya and Mandan Mishra and his wife Bharti are still world famous today. Shastrath held by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati with Maha Pandits of Kashi is also world famous. In the ancient times, Dharma Sabhas were used to organized in Kumbh Mela, which is still taking place. In these Dharma Sabhas, shastrath is held as per the shastriya references to present solution to the controversial issues. Programmes of shastarth were also conducted by Maharaj Vikramaditya, Maharaja Bhoj, Maharaja Krishna Dev Rai and others.
