Akshay Kumar goes live on ShareChat Audio Chatroom with Bhuvan Bam
New Delhi: In a first of its kind event, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar went live on India’s largest Audio Chatroom on ShareChat, to talk about his latest period drama in a free wheeling conversation with creator Bhuvan Bam.
ShareChat is India’s largest Indic language social media platform with 180 million monthly active users. The Audio Chatroom session titled, ‘Bell Bottom with Akshay Kumar’ witnessed over one and a half lakh unique ShareChat users tuning in from 809 different cities in India. Over forty five thousand users were listening to the session at its peak and about 76,000 comments poured in the live chat.
During the conversation, Akshay shared anecdotes about his dressing style, the stark difference between film shooting in pre and post covid times and portraying real life heroes on screen.

Closing the session on a high note Bhuvan Bam sang two songs for his fans, the classic ‘Chaudhvin Ka Chand’ and his own composition ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’. Bhuvan also shared some tips and words of wisdom with the Sharechat creator community.
ShareChat Audio Chatroom has become a key feature of the platform. In recent weeks there have been a number of chat rooms that have drawn large audiences including Dr Kumar Vishwas’ Digital Kavi Sammelan with a massive 70,000 audience for Independence Day. In Kannada, composer Manikanth Kadri and playback singer Supriyaa Ram performed a ‘Swara Sanje’ session on ShareChat Audio Chatroom.
Mohalla Tech, the parent company behind ShareChat, last month raised an additional US$145 million as an extension of Series F. The company’s current valuation stands at US$2.88 billion.
