Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Qatar (AMUAAQ) Organised “Women empowerment and Zaiqa-e-Aligarh 2022”

The Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Qatar (AMUAAQ) an associate organization (AO) of ICBF under the aegis of the Embassy of India-Qatar, organized its annual ladies event “Zaiqa -e- Aligarh 2022 on 06th October 2022 at Doha Oasis beach club hotel & Resort under the managing committee of AMU Alumni Association of Qatar presided by Dr. Nadeem Zafar Jilani.
Mrs. Sophia Bukhari (Qatar University) was the Patron and chief guest, Kausar Hassan Choghule founding member of DPS-MIS also attended the event as another Chief Guest while Sabeena MK, Tanu Chopra were the Guest of honour while special guest of the evening was Dr. Hassan Chougule, Abdul Rahman EP, Mohammed Shakeb Ahsan, Vaqas Ahmad, Sameer Chopra, Prof Rizwan Ahmad, Rahat Jamal, Sayma Vaqas, Sara attended the program as special guests. Mamnoon Bangash, Faisal Naseem (VP), Farman Khan (GS), Farrukh Farooqi, Shima Sadaf, Mohammed Nayeem, Abad Khan, Ashna, Ghazala, Sadiya, Dr. Syed Intekhab Alam, Irfanullah, Syed Shahabuddin, Rizwan Ahmad, Viqar Ahmad, Dr. Imtiyaz, Dr. Sajid, Majid Ali (President, Integral Alumni) , Moahmin Alvi , Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Poonam Sharma, Khurshid Qamar, Lutfi Kakar, Owais Qamar, Mr. Zarrar, Tauhid, Imamuddin, Jawed Ahmad, Dr. Nadeem Jilani (President, AMUAAQ) and many more community leaders graced the occasion.
Chairman of AMUAAQ, Mr. Jawed informed that Zaiqa e Aligarh program totally designed for ladies & was also managed and chaired by ladies only.

More than 140 people including participants attended the function. Dr. Ashna Nusrat & Mrs. Ghazala Yasmin anchored, the program greeted all the guests. Miss Mahnoor Khan Fatima started the program with the recitation of Holy Quran. Dr Ashna Nusrat, Vice President ladies group of AMUAAQ presented the welcome speech and took the audience back to their journey of empowerment. Presentation and discussion included the ppt presentation by Mahejabeen Anjum on the topic as to How to empower women, a creative and remarkable skit was presented by Ambar and Saima on women empowerment, poem recitations by Zoya Anjum on women and prevalent scenario was much appreciated and an awareness video presentation by Dr Ashna on Child Abuse was well recognized by the audience and a quiz was organized by Sara Ali and Dr.Asma exclusively for male members related to food and spice was also organized and all the winners were awarded with gifts.
Mrs Sofia Bukhari address the audience with her kind words, her addresses was very informative and motivational and quoted and referred the important part of the presentation as well. Cheif guests Kausar Hassan Chougle appreciated the purpose and intent of the event. Guests of Honour Sabeena M K spoke about women empowerment and Tanu Chopra attended the event. While chefs Mr Mukesh Gupta, Mr Saifulla and Food Blogger Mrs Afroz was the chief judge for this event and she was appreciated for her keen and fair judgment.
Program was partially supported by Care N Cure, Indi Grill, Affix Scaffolding, Adepts and Omega watt, Malabar Gold provided the Dimond ring for raffle draw.

Participants and their families said: “It was a really fun and a thoughtful event, where we learned Empowering women is essential to the health and social development of families, communities and countries. When women are living safe, fulfilled and productive lives, they can reach their full potential. contributing their skills to the workforce and can raise happier and healthier children.
Other attractions of this programme were Video on FIFA Qatar 2022, AMUAAQ & participated members of Integral alumni said: we all unitedly stand and wish Qatar for successful accomplishment of FIFA 2022 as Qatar will soon host one of the most important global sports events, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022
The AMU Alumni Association Qatar is a non-profit and socio-cultural organisation committed to promote a sense of brotherhood and foster spirit of community wellness. The forum’s objective is to serve the educational, Welfare, social, literary, sports and cultural needs of the community. This association has 4 subdivision. They are: 1.AMUAAQ – Toastmasters, 2. AMUAAQ – Sports, 3. AMUAAQ – Healthcare, 4. AMUAAQ – Ladies, Apart from these there is no other official groups of AMUAAQ
AMUAAQ President, Dr. Nadeem Jilani appreciated the Women team for such a wonderful theme-based event.
At the end all the guests enjoyed with homemade delicious food and Buffet dinner.
