Aligarh Muslim University awarded Five dedicated and diligent health workers
Aligarh: Five dedicated and diligent health workers executing the daunting task of treating infected patients were awarded in a ‘Corona Warriors Felicitation Programme’ organised by the Faculty of Unani Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University on the initiative of BUMS Doctors Association (BDA), Uttar Pradesh.
They are Dr Ali Jafar Abedi (University Health Officer), Dr Shoib Ansari (District Epidemiologist), Dr Sarfraz Ansari, Dr Saba Siddiqui and Dr Rachna (Malkhan Singh District Hospital and Deen Dayal Hospital, Aligarh). These health workers received certificates and mementoes.
“The noble profession of a doctor takes some serious dedication and sacrifice. Health officers have kept their own worries and emotional stress at bay to work day and night for treating Covid positive patients,” said the chief-guest, Prof Asfar Ali Khan (OSD to the Vice Chancellor).
He also acknowledged the role of everyone working in dedicated Covid hospitals including the ambulance drivers, crematorium workers and all people working in containment zones.
Dr Saud Ali Khan (Principal, Hakim Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College) spoke about the active participation of health workers at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Tibbiya College of the university and the District Hospital, Aligarh in the struggle against rising coronavirus cases.
Prof FS Sherani and Prof Shagufta Aleem (Chairperson, Department of Amraze Jild wa Zohrawiya) said that doctors, nurses, paramedics and other helpers toiled day and night to keep the citizens safe since the outbreak of the virus. Their work is of utmost importance.
