Aligarh Muslim University: Committee constituted for Environment sciences course
Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor has constituted a committee to frame the guidelines for a multi-disciplinary course on “Environment (Environmental) sciences.
Prof I H Farooqui (Department of Civil Engineering) and AMU Registrar, Mr Abdul Hamid (IPS) are the Chairman and Convener of the committee respectively. The committee comprises Dr Rajendra Singh (Waterman of India), Prof Abdul Baqi (Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering), Prof Anwar Khursheed (Department of Civil Engineering), Prof Shahab Fazal (Department of Geography), Officer-on-Special Duty (Development) and Controller of Examinations.
“The members on the committee panel will work on the terms and references such as to decide the nomenclature of the course, duration of the course, eligibility conditions, syllabus/curriculum, admission test procedure and other relevant issues to the course. The committee will hold online meetings and submit its report by June 30 so that the course can be started following from 2021-22 session and the logistic support will be provided by the Controller of examinations”, said AMU Registrar, Mr Abdul Hamid (IPS).
