Aligarh Muslim University doctors’ team attends conference

Aligarh: A team of doctors, nursing staff and Cath Lab technicians of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University attended the annual conference of Pediatric Cardiac Society of India (PCSI) held at Raipur.

Dr Azam Haseen, Chairman, department of Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery, presented a poster on “Persistent LSVC in a case of ASD” while Dr Shaad Abqari, Nodal Officer, PCE-CS Unit delivered a lecture on safe vascular access practice in Pediatric Cath lab and made two oral presentation on “Referral pattern of patient under RBSK” and “Inter-atrial stenting in post-op case of Tetralogy of Fallot”. Dr Abqari also made a poster presentation on Infection Endocarditis in VSD.

Dr M M Kamran made two posters a0nd an oral presentation on “Complications in VSD Device closure”.

Mrs Nahid Fatima and Mr Akhlaq Ahmad, Cath lab technicians at PCE-CS Unit made an oral presentation on ASD device closure while Ms Arfa, Ms Saba, Ms Tabassum and Ms Sumayya (Anaesthesia Technicians) presented posters on various topics related to Pediatric cardiology.

The nursing staff team also attended the workshop on Infection control meant for improving nursing care in Paediatric Cardiac ICU.

Prof Tabassum Shahab, Convenor, congratulated the team for representing PCE-CS Unit and the J N Medical College at the prestigious forum.
