Aligarh Muslim University: Entrance exam candidates not allowed staying in hostels
Aligarh: The candidates appearing at the entrance examinations for admission to various courses of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will not be allowed entry in the university hostels. The step has been taken in line with the Government of India guidelines in the wake of Covid19 outbreak.
According to AMU Registrar, Mr Abdul Hamid (IPS), neither the candidates nor relatives accompanying them will be allowed entry in university halls of residences.
He categorically stated that candidates are advised to make their own logistic arrangement for the stay in Aligarh.
The notice from the Office of the Registrar further stated that the Ministry of Education in consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs based on the assessment of the current situation related to pandemic in the concerned states will notify opening dates of educational institutions.
