Aligarh : Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University has organized a three-day online conference on “Low Energy Nuclear Reaction Dynamics” on March 7 -9, 2022. A large number of distinguished guests, invited speakers, academicians, young researchers and post-graduate students have joined the event’s inaugural session.

The Chief Guest on the occasion Prof Alok Saxena (Ex-Head Nuclear Physics Division, Bhabha Atomic Research center, BARC, Mumbai), advocating the benefit of online conferences , said; such conferences connect scientific communities locally and globally without physical presence.

Prof Saxena also delivered a keynote address on the topic “Low Energy Nuclear Reaction Studies using Accelerator facilities” elaborating the details of the current scientific work going on the various topics being covered under the theme of the conference.

The Dean Faculty of Science, Prof Qamarul Hasan Ansari , while addressing the event appreciated the role of the Physics Department in contributing to scientific research and rich scientific culture .

The Chairperson of the Physics Department, Prof BP Singh presented the welcome address. The theme of the conference was presented by the convener of the conference Prof Isar Ahmed Rizvi .

Around 100 participants have joined the event from India and abroad. In this three-day online conference around 26 invited talks will be delivered by eminent scientists from India and abroad. Also, around 65 papers will be presented by the participants.

Dr Shakeb Ahmad (Women’s College), Secretary of the conference conducted the inaugural session and presented the vote of thanks.
