All India Institute of Ayurveda and Amity University Sign MoU to Boost Ayurvedic Research and Education
New Delhi – The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, and Amity University, Noida, have signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on education, research, and technology.
The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Nesari, Director of AIIA, and Asha Prem Nath, Joint Registrar, Amity University. This MoU is an extension of the previous five-year MoU between the two institutions. This significant MoU was made under the leadership of Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor of Amity University, and under the aegis of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
Present on this occasion were Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University; Dr. W. Selvamurthy, Chairman, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation; Dean, (Dr.) B.C. Das, and other senior members of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.
The MoU aims to promote a collaborative education program, publications, capacity building, and joint capacity building projects. This includes fostering capacity building and lifelong learning, academic excellence and its development, technology, and cutting-edge programs. There will be an exchange of students and faculty for academic, research, and training purposes.
On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Nesari, Director of AIIA, said, “Our institution is committed to realizing the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister for a developed India by 2047, and this MoU will be a significant milestone in this direction. By sharing knowledge and research, we can promote development.”
It is noteworthy that AIIA has signed 40 MoUs with national-level technical institutions and universities to promote research and documentation in the field of Ayurveda, which includes major institutions like IITs, CSIR, and 17 renowned international institutions.
On this important occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajagopala, Head of the Department of Shalakya Tantra, MS Prof. (Dr.) Anand Raman Sharma PV, and other senior faculty members of AIIA were present. The program was coordinated by Dr. Shivani Ghildiyal, Associate Professor, Department of Dravyaguna.
