Amar Singh College organizes workshop on portal familiarization
Srinagar: A One-Day Workshop on Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) portal familiarization was organized by Amar Singh College, Srinagar today in the Bukhari hall of the college.
The programme was presided over by Prof. Bashir Ahmed Rather, Principal Amar Singh College.
This was the second workshop in the series of continuous workshops conducted by the College in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Consultant AICTE, PMSSS, for J&K, Prof. AjeetAngral, Coordinator PMSSS of the College, Prof. Maqsood Hussain, President CTA, Kashmir, Prof. Tariq Ashai and other faculty members of the college were also present on the occasion.
The programme was attended by 240 participants that included Nodal Officers, Coordinators for PMSSS from various Govt. Degree Colleges, Govt. Polytechnic Colleges and Higher Secondary Institutions of Kashmir Division.
Principal, Amar Singh College, Prof. Bashir Ahmad Rather in his welcome address stressed upon the need to bring mass awareness about PMSSS so that each student at entry level should know all the components and aspects of the scheme. He put forth his desire that all the available 5000 scholarships should be availed by the students in the academic session 2020-2021. He further added that AICTE and the College would organize such workshops at various colleges and Higher Secondary Institutes of the Kashmir Division.
Prof. Ajeet Angral, Consultant PMSSS, J&K, deliberated upon the various aspects of PMSSS and its benefits for the students of Jammu and Kashmir. He also informed the audience that the link for the fresh registration will be open in the second week of April 2020.
