Amber Group inks MoU to manufacture Flex, HDI, Semiconductor substrates PCBs, with South Korea’s Korea Circuit, a YoungPoong group co.; fortifying PCB manufacturing in India

New Delhi : The Amber group, a diversified B2B company having three business verticals; Consumer Durables, Electronics (EMS) and Railway Subsystems & Mobility, has entered into a MoU with South Korea’s, Korea Circuit, a YoungPoong group co., through its recent venture Ascent Circuits.

This will enhance the capability of Ascent Circuits (Amber) for providing solutions to Mobile & Semiconductor industry. This association between Amber and Korea Circuit will envelop the entire portfolio of PCBs required for various applications in India’s Electronics manufacturing growth story i.e., HDI, Flex, Semiconductor substrate, Multilayer, Double sided, Single sided.

Korea Circuit is the pioneer of the Korean PCB industry and has seen the development of Korea’s electronics industry as an expert in the production of PCB for the past 45 years. Armed with state-of-the-art technology, it has developed PCB solutions viz. HDI, Flex, Semiconductor substrates, Multilayer, Double sided & Single sided PCBs, with applications ranging from Mobile, IT, Semiconductors, Home appliances, Consumer electronics, Aerospace & Defence, Medical, Energy solutions, Automotive, Telecom, Data Centres etc.

This association will assist Korea Circuit to provide solution to major customers in India giving Korea Circuit a competitive advantage in the Indian market and help to grow its business. The MOU between Korea Circuit and Ascent Circuits (Amber) is a significant step for Korea Circuit’s expansion into the Indian market. It will allow Korea Circuit to meet the growing demand in India for electronics and provide its customers with a reliable and efficient supply chain.

The recent acquisition of majority stake in Ascent circuits followed by this MoU with Korea Circuit places Amber in a unique spot and positions it as a leading player in the Electronics (EMS) space opening an array of new business opportunities. Additionally, it will strengthen Amber’s Electronics (EMS) portfolio by increasing its local value addition and backward integration into passive components of PCB Assemblies which is in sync with the ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ vision of the Government of India and is in line with the group’s strategy of strengthening backward integration for its Electronics (EMS) play into various applications such as Aerospace & Defence, Medical, Telecom, Consumer Electronics and Automotive.
