American Society of Plastic Surgeons membership for AMU faculty

Aligarh: Dr Mohammed Fahud Khurram, Department of Plastic Surgery, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) has been made the member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the Plastic Surgery Foundation (PSF) and the Annual Meeting Educational Programme and the ASPS EdNet Editorial Subcommittee.

As a member of the team of plastic surgeons in these committees, Dr Khurram will provide his expertise in the areas of reconstructive surgery, hand and microsurgery and aesthetic surgery. He has undertaken the responsibility to work for Comprehensive Reconstruction Committee work and the Reconstructive/ Micor Work Group.

Dr Khurram will actively engage in promoting researchers to test scientific concepts specific to plastic surgery, support clinically relevant research that demonstrates best practices and better outcomes, provide research data that assures patients that they are receiving the best treatment, encourage efficacy through evidence-based medicine and contribute in the development of clinical trial research networks.

In an appreciation letter, Dr Joseph E Losee (ASPS President-elect) and Dr Gayle M Gordillo (PSF President-elect) said that Dr Khurram’s expertise, energy and dedication are imperative to the committee’s success.
