AMH SSC has launched Management Development Programs to upskill the Managerial Professionals in the Apparel Industry

New Delhi: The Apparel Made-ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMH SSC) has launched Management Development Programs (MDPs) to train and upskill supervisors and managerial teams in the apparel industry. The objective of this program is to make youth self-reliant. Under MDPs, four online courses, including Introduction to Social Compliance and Sustainability, New Dynamics in Social Compliance and People Management, Online Certificate Program on Fashion Forecasting and Online Certification Program on 5S have been launched.

In the course of Introduction to Social Compliance and Sustainability and New Dynamics in Social Compliance and People Management, professionals will be given information related to manufacturing, industrial relations, human resources, labour management, ethical business, social compliance auditing. In these courses professionals will be briefed on industry expert social compliance, the Code of Conduct, India’s labour laws, the importance of MSMEs, the dynamics of migrant labor, and the post-COVID-19 challenges. In New Dynamics in Social Compliance and People Management course, professionals will be told about industrial relations and human resource management and the process of its compliance. In the course of the Online Certificate Program on Fashion Forecasting, professionals will be taught how to develop the sales skill for the apparel sector. In the Online Certification Program on 5S, professionals will be taught the skills required to manage the site.

Dr. Roopak Vasishtha, Chief Executive Officer and Director General of AMH SSC said that all these courses will be conducted in the centre of excellence and will help professionals to enhance their skills. These courses are designed with the objective of productivity enhancement of the professionals.
