Amity Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology student selected by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Mumbai

Mumbai: Vivekanand Kumar Yadav, a B.Tech student from Amity Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology(NST), batch (2016-2020), has been selected for Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES) by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre(BARC), Mumbai, one of the leading government organizations of India. After a one- year training at BARC, Vivekanand will be recruited as Scientific Officer C, at Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) organizations. Dr. Homi J. Bhabha, known as “Father of Nuclear Program in India” established BARC to cater to the manpower needs of the expanding atomic energy research and development program.

Elated at his achievement, Vivekanand, from a small town in Uttar Pradesh, said, “I started preparing rigorously for the exam, after the lockdown and I am overjoyed that my efforts and hard work have been fruitful. I’m extremely grateful to my teachers who have been instrumental in guiding me and making my dream come true. Reactor Physics is my core area of interest and I want to acquire more knowledge in this field.”
