Amity School of Communication Hosts Vibrant Showcase and Cultural Extravaganza for Animation and VFX Talents

Amity School of Communication, Amity University recently organised the event to showcase the creative work of final year students of Animation and VFX to commemorate World Animation Day. Event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor, prof Dr. A.W. Santhosh Kumar.

Kicking off the day’s festivities, two exciting competitions took center stage were: the Battle of Mini Studios (BOMS) featuring three teams, and the Showreels category with a diverse range of participants. To celebrate the creative endeavours of the students, a captivating video compilation of their finest works was shown to the audience and esteemed jury.

While speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor A.W. Santhosh Kumar motivated the students to pursue their dreams with unwavering determination. He emphasized the boundless possibilities that lie within the realm of animation, encouraging students to explore its vast potential. He also added that five new state-of-the- art studio facilities are on the making which will escalate the performance of ASC-AUM to greater heights in the near future.

The cultural segment featured a  showcase diverse array of performances, including captivating group and duo dances, soulful solo singing acts, mesmerizing solo dance routines, an electrifying live band performance and energetic rap performances. The cultural extravaganza concluded with the captivating cosplay event, where participants donned the personas of beloved characters such as Nanami, Naruto, Jack Sparrow, Spiderman – Miles Morales, and Chainsaw Man, among others. The event culminated in an energetic flash mob that set the stage ablaze, leaving the audience pulsating with excitement.

The winners of BOMS, Showreel competition, E-sports Competition and Cosplay were felicitated by the top academic dignitaries of the University.
