“Amity Student Adeeb Wani Triumphs at 1st Cestoball World Cup, Secures Silver Medal for India in the “Cestoball World cup”

Adeeb Wani, a student at Amity University, Mumbai, has achieved great success by being selected for the 1st Cestoball World Cup held in Bangalore from May 26th to May 29th. He is now a member of a 12-person team that will undergo intensive training for one month.

The tournament featured participation from over 13 countries, with Adeeb representing India. He showcased exceptional skills, leading his team to victory against Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, France, and Kenya. They reached the finals but unfortunately lost to Argentina, earning India the silver medal.

Hailing from Shrinagar, Adeeb is currently pursuing a BBA degree at Amity Business School, Amity University Mumbai. His selection for the event was made by the Castoball Federation of India, based on his impressive performance at the National Cestoball Championship held in Lehrangaga, Sangrur Punjab in March 2022. Adeeb’s remarkable display at the championship solidified his place in the Indian Cestoball Team for the Cestoball World Cup 2023.
