Amity University and PACE University, USA explore the potential areas of collaboration
A high- level delegation from PACE University, USA, comprising of Dr. John Meletiadis, Assistant Dean, Lubin School of Business, Dr. Sonia Suchday, Chair of Psychology, Pace Board of Trustees Member and Prof. PV Viswanath, Graduate Program Chair, Department of Finance, visited Amity University Noida. The aim of the visit was to explore higher education opportunities for Amity students at PACE University and the areas, wherein the two Universities can collaborate.
Highlighting the significance of the collaboration, Dr. John Meletiadis, Assistant Dean, Lubin School of Business, PACE University, USA, averred, “We are highly impressed by the vast presence and world class infrastructure of Amity University. We would like to create customized programmes for students of both institutions, which are unique and innovative and will benefit the students. since India is a fast-growing economy and one of the largest democracies in leadership role and PACE University has a lot of Indian students pursuing Management and Computer Science Programmes and we would be glad to welcome Amity students to our campus for pursuing other programs too.”
Prof. P.V. Viswanath, Graduate Program Chair, Department of Finance, PACE University, USA stated, “This is the beginning of a long lasting, mutually beneficial relationship between Amity University and PACE University, USA. There are many opportunities for collaboration under the New Education Policy-2020 such as offering joint, twinning and dual degrees, creating joint campuses and offering internships to the students. In addition, Finance Management and Fintech are other areas for collaboration and Amity students can pursue these programs at PACE University.”
Presenting an overview of the Amity Education Group, Rear Admiral Alok Bhatnagar, Deputy Director General, International Affairs Division, said, “Amity & USA have shared a great long-standing association over the years and the highest number of students from Amity have gone to USA in the last three years. Amity University and Pace University can collaborate in various areas including short-term Mobility Programmes, Faculty Exchange Programme, Monthly Lecture Series by PACE faculty, India Immersion Program and joint PhDs. In addition, Amity would also like to invite PACE University to participate in INBUSH 2024, one of the largest business conferences, scheduled to be held in February 2024, at Amity University.”
During the visit, the delegation took a round of the Amity Campus including the Central Library, ASCO studio and the high-tech laboratories.
