Amity University, Mumbai Celebrates Science Day with AmiVigyaan 2023

Amity Institute of Biotechnology (AIB) recently organised ‘AmiVigyaan’ to celebrate National Science Day from 28th Feb 2023 to 1st March 2023. The theme for national science day 2023 was “Global Science for Global wellbeing”.

The event was inaugurated Prof. Dr. A. W. Santosh Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Amity University, Mumbai In his opening address, Prof. Santosh Kumar emphasized the role of science and technology and innovations for betterment of the society.

Dr. Suprasanna Penna, HOI, Amity Institute of Biotechnology addressed the school and University students and elaborated on how science can resolve the global health and environment issues and the need for science education. Students from St. Wilfred’s School and St. Xavier’s School along with the University students participated in the two-day celebrations with their Poster presentation highlighting the role of science in everyday life.

Multiple events were organised to facilitate the science in fun way such as Working Model, Sciceria, Reelopedia, Treasure Hunt and Snake and Ladder Trivia’s were organized and more than 400 students have enthusiastically participated and this two days’ event was concluded with a note that Science has the power to change the tomorrow in a better way.
