MT Educare adds 15 more PU colleges in Karnataka

Mumbai: MT Educare Ltd (MTEL), has added 15 more Pre-University (PU) colleges in Karnataka bringing the total number of PU colleges under its remit to 37. This makes MTEL as the largest PU college group in the state.

MTEL run PU colleges conduct integrated courses for PU1 (Class XI) and PU2 (Class XII) affiliated to the Karnataka State Board of Pre-University Education, while also preparing students for national and state level competitive entrance examinations like JEE (Mains & Advanced) for Engineering and NEET for Medical aspirants.

The fifteen new PU colleges are in Anekal, Banaswadi, RMS Colony KM Puran, Hedgenagar, Hesaragattha Peenya, Whitefield, HSR Layout, Devanahalli, Hoskote, Kuvempunagar, Kumta, Mysore, Nelmangala, Tiptur, and Bagalkot. With the addition of these colleges, MTEL PU colleges now have a footprint across 17 districts of the state. In Karnataka around 9000 students benefits from MTEL’s unique pedagogy and test preparations out of MTEL’s Pan India count of 20000 students.

As on 31st Dec 2018, MTEL at consolidated level reported revenues of Rs. 17827 lakh and PAT of Rs. 437 lakh. MTEL’s Karnataka operations contributed about Rs. 2370 lakh of revenues for 9 months of FY 2018-19. In addition to contribution to MTEL Revenue, Karnataka division revenue from existing 22 PU Colleges is around Rs. 4000 lakh for 9 months FY 2018-19.
