Sharda University displayed the iconic E-bikes ‘VISION’ & ‘VAAAN’ at Auto Expo 2020

New Delhi: Sharda University an institution of excellence, inspiring value-based education is focused on imbibing holistic learning by providing them hands-on experience in the industry. This year the students of Sharda University displayed their all-new E-vehicle concepts; VAAAN- an Electric Hubless Bike and VISION- E computer sports bike at the Auto Expo 2020. A signature event, witnessing innovative minds from the automotive industry coming together on one platform to showcase the best for automobile lovers.

Looking at the current Indian mobility and environmental scenario, the vehicles are designed in a unique approach to enhance the customer experience. The 15th edition which was conducted at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida drew huge attention from the people across the globe.

VISION -E Commuter Sports Bike

Vision by Sharda University is an E Computer Sports Bike (2-wheeler) which aims at reducing pollution caused by the fuel (engine) using automobiles. The USP of this 2-wheeler is “ZERO Pollution”, causing no harm to the environment or human beings. This will not require changing of parts during service as there are no major mechanical parts in the vehicle. Keeping in mind the present situation, the rate of pollution is increasing high due to vehicles. Hence, to overcome the same the team developed an electric vehicle (2-wheeler) that will meet each and every aspect of the consumer. The design of the vehicle aims to break new ground by featuring all-new hub motor which can achieve 70 km/hr at ultra mode, 55 km/hr at high mode and 40 km/hr at low mode.

VAAAN- Electric Hubless Bike

The vehicle is designed keeping in mind what the new generation electric bikes should be like. The roll cage of this EHB has been made using chromoly pipes. The Body frame has been designed keeping various conditions in mind and is efficient in its purpose. The design of the Hubless Wheels in EHB is different and does not need a brake. The bearings provide rotation of the wheel and are fixed by sandwiching it in between the frame of the tire and the center ring. The center ring and the frame of the tire have been made out of aluminum 7075.

Commenting on the same Dr. Parma Nand, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology, Sharda University said “We at Sharda University always strive to provide students with the best possible opportunities where they can learn about new concepts and foster their creativity and innovation .If we look at the current scenario, the automobile industry is undergoing a rapid transformation ever since AI, robotics and Machine Learning has come into picture. Hence, the students designed vehicles that perfectly suit the futuristic Indian mobility scenario. We are highly ecstatic to be a part of the Auto Expo 2020 as it gives exposure to the students to showcase their innovations and I congratulate all the participants for their efforts and high enthusiasm at creating these unique vehicle concepts.”
