Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham signs MoU with QNu Labs for development of Quantum-based Security and Computing Technologies

New Delhi: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, ranked the 4th Best Overall University in India in NIRF 2020 Rankings, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with QNu Labs, a quantum resilience company, the world’s first company to build a deployable “Quantum-Safe Security” product, for further research, education and development of quantum-based security and computing technologies. This announces the joint effort to advance the study and potential commercial applications of quantum safe internet technologies.

 

With quantum computing and cybersecurity opening up incredible opportunities for both research and business, this collaborative agreement will be focused on a commitment to foster awareness of the benefits of Quantum Communication Technology for Quantum Safe Internet and broad telecommunications network security in India.

 

QNu provides quantum safe data encryption, secure key generation and quantum key distribution solutions to the financial industry, telecom service providers, large and medium enterprises, defence, and government organisations worldwide to protect their assets from current vulnerabilities and future attacks in the pre and post quantum era.

 

Commenting on the tie up, Dr. P. Venkat Rangan, Vice Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham said, “As quantum computing continues to make advancements in qubit technologies, scaling architectures, algorithms, applications, software tools, and more, it simultaneously fuels the urgency for a major transition in cryptography across the internet as we know it today.
