AMU ABK High School (boys) organises inter-school district volleyball tournament

Aligarh : The AMU ABK High School (Boys) organised a three days Inter-School District Volleyball tournament as part of the Sir Syed Day celebrations.

Inaugurating the tournament, the chief guest Prof. Brij Bhushan Singh, from the Department of Physical Education, AMU urged the students to take care of their health by giving ‘An Hour a day to Play for Health’.

The guest of honour Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Alvi, Principal, SHSS School, AMU appreciated the school for organising a district level tournament.

In her welcome address, the school Principal Dr. Samina highlighted the pivotal role of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie among students.

Eight schools are taking part in the tournament, and the team from STS School excelled on the first day.

Dr. Nazia Khan, Assistant Director, Physical Education, Women’s College and Ms. Aziza Rizvi, former Assistant Director, Physical Education, Women’s College were the special guests during the inaugural ceremony.
