AMU and Windsor Machines Limited, Sign Agreements for Joint Research Project in Microporous Polymer Processing

 

Aligarh : Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Windsor Machines Limited, Ahmedabad. These agreements establish a joint research project focused on developing indigenous “Made in India” technology in microporous processing of thermoplastics. The documents were signed by Mohammad Imran, IPS, Registrar of AMU, and Vinay Bansod, Executive Director and CEO of Windsor Machines Ltd.

The signing ceremony held at AMU, was attended by Prof. Naima Khatoon, Vice-Chancellor of AMU; Prof. Salim Beg, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology; Mr. Mohammad Imran, Registrar; Dr. Najam Sardar, Chairman of the Department of Petroleum Studies; and Dr. Syed Javed Ahmad Rizvi, Associate Professor in the Department of Petroleum Studies and Principal Investigator of the project. Windsor Machines Limited was represented by Mr. Vinay Bansod, ED & CEO and Mr. Susmit Patel, DGM.

During the event, Mr. Bansod praised the AMU campus and its diverse academic offerings. He acknowledged the research capabilities of AMU, especially within the Department of Petroleum Studies, in advancing polymer processing technologies. Highlighting Dr. Rizvi’s expertise in microporous processing, Mr. Bansod expressed Windsor’s confidence in developing and commercializing indigenous technology under Dr. Rizvi’s leadership. He emphasized the mutual benefits of this industry-academia collaboration, particularly in technology commercialization.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Naima Khatoon noted that Windsor Machines proposed the joint research project earlier this year, recognizing the university’s research potential. She assured full support for the project and congratulated Dr. Najam Sardar and Dr. Rizvi for their efforts in this significant collaboration.

Prof. Salim Beg stressed the significance of promoting industry-relevant research and encouraged support for initiatives facilitating technology commercialization. Mr. Mohammad Imran expressed confidence in the project’s success and envisioned global commercialization of the jointly owned intellectual property.

Dr. Najam Sardar welcomed the Windsor Machines delegation and extended her best wishes for the project’s success.
