AMU City Girls’ High School Dental Care Awareness Programme

 

Aligarh : AMU City Girls’ High School conducted a Dental Care Awareness Programme on May 16, featuring Dr. Md. Asadullah, Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology ZA Dental College, AMU. Dr. Asadullah delivered a lecture on “Prevention of Common Dental Problems,” focusing on crucial dental care practices and preventive measures.

He highlighted dental issues, including Pyorrhea, Malocclusion, and Oral Cancer, stressing the importance of early detection and prevention. Dr. Asadullah discussed the role of milk teeth as space savers and the harmful effects of fast foods on dental health. He recommended regular dental bleaching to prevent Pyorrhea and advised against tobacco use to avoid oral cancer.

The students engaged enthusiastically with Dr. Asadullah, asking numerous questions. The session was opened by the Principal, Dr. Md. Alamgir, who emphasized the importance of such educational visits for the holistic development of students.

Dr. Asadullah expressed his pleasure in visiting the school and invited the students for dental checkups at Z.A. Dental College. The efforts of co-organizers Ms. Tehmina Ashraf and Ms. Sana Shamshad were also commended.
