AMU Class XI, Diploma Engineering Entrance Test on May 21

 

Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will conduct the entrance test for admissions to Class XI-Science, Diploma in Engineering, Class XI-Humanities and Commerce, and the Bridge Course for graduates of Deeni Madaris on May 21 (Sunday) at nine centres including Aligarh, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Srinagar, Meerut, Bareilly, Kishanganj and Guwahati. A total of 41,967 students have applied to sit for the entrance tests.

According to a notification from the Office of the Controller of Examinations, “33697 students have applied for admissions in Class XI-Science and Diploma in Engineering. The entrance test will take place from 10 am to 12 noon”.

“8021 applicants are expected to appear for Class XI-Humanities and Commerce entrance test from 4 pm to 6 pm, while 249 candidates have applied for the Bridge Course”, further stated the notification.

At the Aligarh centres, 17,975 students including 12,179 boys and 5,796 girls are expected to appear for the Class XI-Science and Diploma in engineering joint entrance test at various faculties, departments and schools of the university. A total of 5,205 candidates comprising 2,950 male and 2,255 female students are applicants for Class XI-Humanities and Commerce test to be held at various centres in AMU, while 211 candidates for Bridge Course are expected to write their entrance test at the Aligarh centre.
