AMU community grieves Prof Zubair Ahmad’s demise

Aligarh: Prof Mohd Zubair Ahmad Khan, a renowned retired faculty member of the Department of Mathematics, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) passed away after brief illness.

Extending condolences, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor said that Prof Zubair Ahmad established standards for excellence in instruction and contributed to the growth and development of the university by serving in many ways.

“He infused in his students the passion for mathematics and its relevance in understanding science and technology,” said Prof Mansoor.

Prof Zubair Ahmad also served as the Proctor, Dean Students’ Welfare and the Chairman of the Department of Mathematics.
