AMU conducts B Tech, B Arch, BALLB entrance tests
Aligarh : Aligarh Muslim University today conducted the entrance examinations for admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) / Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) courses at various centres in Aligarh, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Srinagar and Kozikhode.
It also conducted a common entrance examination for admission to BALLB course, including at its Malappuram and Murshidabad centres. The BALLB entrance test was held at the Aligarh, Kolkata and Kozhikode centres.
Eleven thousand one hundred and fifty-two students appeared for the B. Tech./B. Arch. entrance test held in the morning shift, A total of 13401 candidates applied for the B.Tech./B.Arch. courses. 4761 candidates applied for the BALLB test which was held in the evening shift.
AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez visited various centres of the entrance exam in the University campus. Prof M Wasim Ali (Proctor) accompanied him during the visit.
Dr Mujib Ullah Zuberi (Controller of Examination) said that AMU had deputed senior faculty members as observers at various test centres in and outside Aligarh to supervise the conduct of admission test in a peaceful manner.
Special help centres were organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) of the University at the railway station and other important places to provide guidance to candidates. Camps were also put up by various NGOs, University students and non-teaching bodies to provide drinking water and other necessary facilities to parents/guardians of the candidates who took the test.
