AMU conducts meeting on students demand for AMUSU polls
Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor today held a meeting with Deans of faculties, Registrar, Controller of Examination, Proctor, Aligarh Muslim University Students Union (AMUSU) treasurer and other senior officers and teachers to discuss the demand for conducting AMUSU election.
It was decided in the meeting to wait for the conduct of election till Phd admissions are completed as the process has started. It will protect their democratic right to vote and contest the election. It was resolved in the meeting to maintain appropriate academic atmosphere for the Mid Term examination scheduled from September 25 and to observe Sir Syed Bicentenary celebrations with full passion on priority.
The Vice Chancellor has urged students to cooperate in maintaining appropriate and peaceful atmosphere with full attention towards their studies and by showing gratitude for the founder, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.
