AMU Dawakhana Tibbiya College Establishes Herbal Garden

 

Aligarh : The Dawakhana Tibbiya College (DTC), Aligarh Muslim University today announced the inauguration of its Herbal Garden, a significant step towards backward integration and securing a more authentic source of supply. The garden was inaugurated by Mr. Mohammad Imran (IPS),Registrar of AMU and Occupier of Dawakhana Tibbiya College, in the presence of Prof. Salma Ahmed, Member-in-Charge, and Mr. Mohammad Shariq Azam, Officiating GM, along with other employees of Dawakhana.

The establishment of the Herbal Garden marks a strategic move aimed at reducing dependence on external suppliers and cutting costs associated with outsourcing. Mr. Imran commended the initiative of the DTC team and shared his experience during the inauguration ceremony.

The DTC team applauded the Registrar  and to Prof. Zaki Anwar, Member-in-Charge of Land & Garden, for their support and assistance in preparing the land area and procuring plants from the supplier.
