AMU Dept of Law to organise webinar

Aligarh: Former Chief Justice of India, Justice K G Balakrishnan will address the participants of the National E-Seminar/Webinar on ‘Women Empowerment and Gender Justice in India: Issues and Challenges’ on July 18. The webinar, which will start from 11: 00 am will be organised by the Ambedkar Chair for Legal Studies and Research, Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

The webinar will analyse the progress of women and gender justice and shed light on challenges in achieving gender justice and women empowerment in India.

The webinar will feature AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor and Dr Debendra Prasad Majhi (Director, Dr Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment).

Prof V Tayal (Former Vice Chancellor, MGS University, Bikaner, Rajasthan), Prof Eqbal Hussain (Dean, Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi), Prof Tabrez Ahmad (Pro Vice Chancellor, G D Goenka University, Sohna, Haryana) and Prof Azra Musavi (Director, Advanced Centre for Women Studies, AMU) will be the resource persons.
