AMU faculty bags Best Presentation Award at International Conference

 

Aligarh : Dr. Tabassum Nawab, a faculty from the department of Community Medicine at JNMC, Aligarh Muslim University, has earned accolades at the 9th International Conference on Public Health 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her research paper titled “Is Dietary Diversity among Antenatal Women a Determinant of Maternal Anemia in India?” captivated the audience and bagged the best presentation award.

Her study shone a light on the alarming lack of dietary diversity among antenatal women in Aligarh and shed light on its significant association with maternal anemia. Dr. Nawab’s insightful findings can pave the way for improved maternal health and nutrition in the region.

She also chaired a session during the ICOPH 2023. The conference, which emphasized “Preparedness in Public Health: Advancing Technology, Equity, and Strengthening Community,” witnessed participation from global delegates in both hybrid and in-person modes.

Dr. Tabassum Nawab’s achievements have not only brought laurels to AMU but also contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the crucial field of public health.
