AMU faculty chairs session at BITS-Pillani, Dubai Campus

Aligarh: Dr Mohd Tariq, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) chaired a technical session on ‘Switching Circuits and Power Converters’ at an international conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The conference was organised by BITS-Pillani, Dubai Campus and was supported by the Springer. In the session, novel converter circuits were presented and discussed.

Besides chairing the session, Dr Tariq also presented his research paper at the conference. In his paper, he highlighted the concept and approach for integrating distributed solar PV system with power Grid Using a new 9-level PEC inverter. He also reported that the proposed technique can continue operation with reduced efficiency even if a fault occurs on the four-quadrant switch in the inverter.
